Download speedachieved during the test was - 24 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 12 Mbps-76.36 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 76.36 Mbps
The test before that was 5Mbps lol.
I got upgraded today well, 12:12am this morning and i downloaded alot of stuff till about 3am and it was constantly maxed out at 77Mbps but throughtout today im getting less speed than before the "upgrade" which was a max speed of 37Mbps
My IP Profile droped by 1Mbps but i think that was cause i rebooted the modem/router 3-4 times today.
I'll give it to the 10 days period
My IP profile dropped from 53.47 down to 48.49 after 3 days and has been stuck there ever since.
BT estimatimation is still:-
60.2Mbps Down
20Mbps Up
Are you very far from the cabinet? The length of line could be an issue if more than 200m away.
I've gone back to 40/10 now and get my nice constant 37.5Mbps compared to my 80/20 speeds of 25Mbps !
When you say "gone back" you mean stabilised at or physically cancelled the upgrade and went back to your original infinity connection.
If the latter, were you charged anything to cancel?
UKD.
I'm not on infinity, I'm with plusnet. It appears anyone with any ISP has been having the same issues.
I had a standard package at 40Mbps download limit and was getting 37.5 I went on a trial of 80/20 and was getting around 20-25Mpbs, I've now gone back to my original package and again get the 37.5Mbps.
It appears that some people get higher speeds, some get lower - but not much is done about the lower because you're still operating within the non-fault limits.
You shouldn't be charged anything for a simple re-grade. It's an overnight automated job. You should just pay for the package you're on.
Its now been over 12 days since my connection was changed to Infinity 2 and the speeds have got no better.
I have today recieved an email from BT Support - the main points of the email were:-
Your speeds are slow - your getting faster speeds then you were quoted for ADSL
If your having problems with your connection then try a different filter as the one your using may be faulty!
What an absolute joke!!!!
I don't have a standard ADSL connection I have an Infinity 2 connection
I don't use filters!!!!!
Can a mod, please look into this ASAP??? - as I'm now loosing the will to live
What are you current speeds now ady199? against your estimated.
If you want to get in touch with MODS, do it here.
It takes up to 3 days to get a response from them either by email or phone.
Similar to me. I was predicted on the BT website 55mb/s down, 16 up.
My upload speed has gone from 8 to 16, but my download is still at the usual 36 😕
