intermittent spikes are almost impossible to trace and your tracert shows no fault

If you run the following command in a cmd prompt it may should show ping spikes. Best to run it on a wired connection

ping -t bbc.co.uk

Is that an admission on these forum boards that an interleaved line (a technology usually used by BT to compensate for last hop dodgy wiring) - which leads to erratic spikes in ping latency - that may ....

 

A) Make Games Unplayable

 

B) Cause Random Buffering of Streaming Services

 

C) Cause other server disconnections like FTP and Live Consol Monitoring

 

????

 

Just wondered - I thought we were being sold super fast (the best in Britain) services.

Getting exactly same issues. Started about 2 weeks ago.

interleaving is placed on the line at the cabinet by the DLM not the last hop it is applied if the line errors climb to a level high enough to cause line instability
