Hi,
I'm experiencing ADSL disconnects when using my phone (usually in the afternoon). I've tried several different microfilters directly at the master socket with face plate removed with no change. Phone/modem are connected to master socket (no extension wiring), which has MK4 VDSL Plate. Furthermore, I recently moved into the property and had the master socket moved. I noticed on my vigor130 modem that SRN on the upload bins increases when I have a dial tone:
and that I start to see TX CRC errs:

Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.
was the master socket move done by openreach? what happened to original master - blanking plate? have you checked wiring ?
try quiet line test dial 17070 option 2 should be quiet and best with corded phone
Apparently openreach won't accept a linefault unless the line has dropped at least 5 times in a day. I'm sure you can instigate that.
I had a similar problem last year and got the mods involved. They were very helpful. You will need an engineer to change the pair back to the exchange to stand any chance of a fix AND ... DONT allow them to close the fault until you have been fault free for a while. It took months for me and multiple engineer visits to finally get a resolution, though I am starting to see the problem coming back again now. Old aluminium cables seem to be the scurge 😞
Another recommendation is to keep a log of when an engineer visits, get a name and phone number if possible. Don't assume that the next engineer will have any details from the previous visit. A name and number will allow them to call the previous engineer.
Keep a log of when you experience dropouts and check the connect speeds after it reconnects. It can all help prove that you have a problem.
Thanks for the replies.
I tried a quite line test during the dropouts the other day but couldn't hear any noise on the line. The disconnects are fairly intermittently (not had one today or since I restarted the modem) but upstream FE CRC and ES errors do consistently show when I pick up the phone. Here is the modem's status before I pickup:

and after 30 seconds of dial tone later:
So what would be the next step, wait for a mod or try and organise an engineer visit myself?
