ADSL or ADSL2+

I have been told that my local exchange which is only 0.4miles away is ADSL 2+ enabled.

i believe I’m only on ADSL as my download speed is only 8mb where most tables I see for ADSL 2+ state that at that distance, I should be able to get around 24mb download speed.

How do I get this changed so I’m on ADSL 2+

So I checked using Keith’s link and the attached image is the results.
Today I also changed my socket that the router is in (as the main socket is in the hall where there’s no power) and it bumped my speed from 8 to 12mbps.
I was suspecting that I had some faults on that socket too.

does the 12mbps mean that I’m on ADSL 2+ and have the correct speed?

Re: ADSL or ADSL2+

Hi @redgibofraggle, thanks for posting those results. Yeah, 12Mbps would confirm you're on ADSL 2+ and getting the correct speeds for your line.
