Re: ADSL2+ target SN margin "stuck"?

Go to solution

Thanks again - mods have responded and arranged for target SN margin to be reset to 6dB. (This reset also generated a re-synch of the Home Hub without having to restart manually.) Early days but connection still seems stable and substantially faster, as per following stats. Actual download speeds from BT speedtester are around 12 to 12.5Mbps - so all at last seems to be working as it should! - Mike.

Re: ADSL2+ target SN margin "stuck"?

For completeness - this isn't quite the end of the story. The SN margin reset appeared to trigger a new 10-day "training" period - at least the connection speed was up and down, with numerous re-synchs. Finally (hopefully) it has stabilised near where it started, but with interleaving turned on (see stats below). Download speed is also fine, with the BTW speedtester (http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/) showing 13.6Mbps. However, the same speedtester shows a failure on the Video Service Quality test, although BT Vision appears to be working satisfactorily. I intend to start a new thread on this but if anyone happens to read this and knows what might be causing this and what to do about it, it would be much appreciated! - Thanks, Mike.
