@TimCurtis

I am connecting via the DSL socket and not the WAN port.

@licquorice

With BT Hub all the sports channels work just fine without any errors at all.

Re: ASUS DSL-AC88U Router and BT Sport

@licquorice

I have tried all the combinations, at after each change rebooted the router and the BT box prior to testing availability.

For all combinations, I got an error IPC6023 for all the BT sports channels (SD, HD, and Ultimate). For all combinations, BT player was available and worked, and the EPG information was available and up to date.

For info, the BT box software is up to date, and the line splitters for both the router and the phone line in are the VSDL versions that came with the router. I updated the firmware of the router as soon as it was installed.

I tried selecting this but it knocked off the VDSL and the interface became unresponsive.

BT TV uses Muticast, IGMP snooping is the process by which multicast packets are detected, IPC6023 error message means that too many multicast packets are being lost.

For that reason, I would expect both IGMP Proxy and IGMP Snooping to be turned on in Advanced Settings / LAN.

The two links I posted are different in that the first one refers specifically to Multicast, the second one refers to IPTV, the two are not the same but I don't know how Asus have implemented the technology on their router but one way or the other I would expect one of them to work.

Sadly not ...

... But interestingly I am now getting the Red Button for match stats etc. Is this an improvement or is this a feature provided through (say) BT Player which has always been available?
