Additional Socket/s

I only have one socket in my house - presume it's the master.  I can't use my cordless phone in half of the house, the reception from the base is too poor. I'm 73 & need a new socket so I can have a phone in my bedroom - Don't like having my mobile on next to my bed.

Who can install a new socket - how much disruption will it cause & how much should it cost? Is there a simpler solution to my problem?

Re: Additional Socket/s

look up your local papare and look for a telecom engineer/person and get then to give you an estimate for installation.  BT/openreach will be expensive compared to local person

you could always buy a new cordless phone with better conenction distance
