Hi All,
I saw a similar post so was hoping someone maybe able to help me.
I had FTTP installed (Openreach) but dont currently have any provider but when looking for a provider (BT) my address is listed incorrectly meaning I couldn't sign up if I wanted.
Would anyone be able to help with this address mismatch issue?
Regards
Rob
Call BT customer services 0800 800150 and ask them to raise an ORDI request with Openreach
Hi @RobD77 and welcome.
Thanks for posting about your address. @licquorice advice is sound but if you have any problems with this please let me know and I'll be happy to help.
Cheers
David
How have you had FTTP installed but don’t have a provider , do you mean you have moved into the property and there is an ONT , presumably used by a previous occupant, but their service is now turned off and you are being unsuccessful in signing up to a provider, ( so it wasn’t you that had FTTP installed ) or is it a new build , where OR have installed the ONT before the property was handed over by the developer to you ?, if neither , how did OR do this ‘install’ without an order , how did they get into the property if they were never asked to visit by a provider or developer ?
If it’s a new build, quite often when the ONT is fitted , the developer and OR are using the plot number not the house number , how and when this is altered to the house number and who is responsible for it is unclear , if you want to use BT then you can always phone in your order .
Hi All,
Thanks for all your replies its obviously great community here and I am glad I found you all...
@licquorice I will do just this and fingers crossed it will get sorted but thank you @DavidM I will let you know how I get on as it seems you also maybe able to help with the issue.
Sorry I dont think my original message was as clear as it could have been...
We live at Flat 1 of 2 at a property and years ago we had BT FTTP installed and there 200MB service but the price was quite high and we switched to VM on a deal but the connection was and still isn't great although the speed is fine. So now looking around for a new provider and the prices are much more competitive but when selecting my postcode / address there are 3 property listed Flat 1 and Flat 2 and the whole property, Flat 1 and Flat 2 have ADSL only and the whole property has FTTP if I try and select it as my address the system website (be it BT / Voda whoever) fails and says theres an issue rightly so as its not a proper and correct address and if I select my address (Flat 1) I can only have ADSL!
So i think it was listed incorrectly somehow but its meaning I cant order FTTP

Thanks for the quick reply...
Does that mean when I canceled the internet supplied by BT they somehow removed the FTTP connection? (I seem to have all the connections still in the house and outside)
If this is the case how would anyone ever get a connection from someone other than BT?
Sorry if this is a daft question!
Regards
Rob
Physical and logical connections are independent of each other. Your physical infrastructure for FTTP doesn't change with change of provider.
