Advice please re Samsung UE40ES6300

Has anyone got this TV. I was thinking of purchasing it. A real dumbass question. I take it is easy to switch between Freesat and DTV?

Re: Advice please re Samsung UE40ES6300

I've found that the best place to look for user experience is often Amazon. You have to take some of the contributions with a large pinch of salt, but if there are enough reviews of a particular item you can usually get a good feel for it. Your telly currently has 33 reviews, generally favourable and some very detailed.

I haven't read them, but an answer to your specific question is likely to be in there somewhere. For what it's worth, I have a Panasonic Freesat model. Pressing the TV button on the remote switches sequentially from Freesat to Freeview to Analogue (now redundant of course) then back to Freesat. Couldn't be simpler.

Disclaimer: I have no interest in Amazon other than as a customer and am recommending only the customer reviews!

Strange. This model seems to be fairly widely available. I'd go to Currys and pretend I wanted to buy it there!

Hi stuartrogerson,

Do you mean between Freeview & Freesat ?

I don't have that model, mine is a little bit bigger, but in the words of comparethemeekat "S I M P L E" - lol

Re: Advice please re Samsung UE40ES6300

I am an installer for a large retailer and would always suggest to anyone to buy Panasonic as it makes the best all round sets. I would say we exchange more samsung models than most makes but the model you are looking at has a very good picture quality. A hdmi cable is all you need for setting up a recording device. If its a Samsung model you can record through the tv remote.

Bought TV, sent it back, picture awful compared to my existing 32 LCD Samsung.

Re: Advice please re Samsung UE40ES6300

This is what you find with these new TV's . Bad picture it is not. It is actually too good for most input sources. Most new Samsungs have ghosting on all but blueray discs. even some hd channels are not good enough. Try most panasonics as they cope with most inputs ( my plasma even makes new bt vision box picture look ok)
