After a year the wifi's gone wonky on my HH6

Hi all

I joined BT about a year ago and the first HH6 they sent me had some wifi problems - some devices worked ok but our Android phones didn't. BT sent a replacement and all was fine afterwards....

...until now, that is. I've just extended my contract for another 2 years and (perhaps coincidentally) now we've got problems with the wifi again.

Internet access from our Android devices are problematic - quite a lot of the time when we request a web page there is a long delay. Sometimes it will time out, sometimes it just takes about 15 seconds or so, and then the web page will load. It also happens with Youtube videos. Strangely, once the connection with the remote site is established the video will play fully. But if we try to load another video the problem returns.

It doesn't seem to affect my Windows laptop. I've never had this problem before.

I've tried setting the DNS server on my phone to use 8.8.8.8 instead of 192.168.1.254 but it makes no difference. I assume I need to contact BT and ask for a replacement but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I've tried restarting the hub but that didn't fix it.

Did you try a factory reset of the home hub?

It often cures wireless problems on all of the home hubs.
