Am I being thick?

The BT comunity help page says that my Home Hub 1 home page should look like this

should.jpg

But it actually looks like this

does.jpg

So question is, how do I get my ADSL diagnostics up? For info, I have recently (last night) dug out a HH 1 that has been lying about for years, but it has not improved my BB speed. Could it be an old firmware problem?

Re: Am I being thick?

You need to select the advanced option.

Try this link http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/dsl/dt/?ce=1&be=1&l0=6&l1=2

Re: Am I being thick?

Type 192.168.1.254 into your browser address bar. Go to Settings > Password > A-Z > ADSL settings.

Re: Am I being thick?

Selecting Advanced all I get is this

But using the link supplied by Keith I get the full caboodle so thanks!

I'll now post the results on another thread

Not on the HH1, no A-Z on that one, its steam driven and reliable Smiley Wink

Sorry, didn't realise they were different in that respect. Another lesson learned!

Re: Am I being thick?

The problem is just that you're on the wrong page.

To see the one shown:

1. Click on advanced in the left menu.

2. Click on Continue to Advanced link.

3. Enter the username ("admin") and hub password.

4. Click on Status on the left menu.

5. Click on ADSL Line.

6. Click on Details.

That will show the page you are looking for.

That assumes that you've set a password on the hub.  If not, it will prompt you to set one.
