I just moved into a new property and order a fiber package, i got the bt smart hub 2 today, but im not sure if i've connected everything right.

Nothing needs to be connected to the part you have marked in yellow.

The Ethernet port extends your broadband connection to another room.

If the LOS light is lit, then your fibre connection is not working.

Ah, so i can use the white ethernet slot like a yellow one with the grey cable ?

The grey cable is just going to wall sockets in bedroom and living.

Internet isnt working because i havent been activated yet.

The socket on the wall, the one you have marked with a question mark, is a phone socket not an Ethernet one.

Its used to connect the TEL1 connection from the ONT, to the phone sockets in your property, so you can plug a normal phone in, that is all.

That grey Ethernet socket, would only be wired to one of your other Ethernet sockets. It may be looped to another socket, but you can only use one of them at a time.

Ah, thank you.

But was it correct to connect the red cable to the WAN port or should it be connected to the ethernet socket on the hub instead and then use 2 yellow sockets of the hub to go to bedroom/living ?

Yes.
