Hi,
So like a lot of people, we could not make our Amazon Echo work with our BT Hub 4 until we split the two bands, and assigned one to the Echo and the other to our other products requiring WIFI.
This did make our Echo work, but now our internet seems to be very slow, and sometimes does not work at all. For example we have Sky Q, which uses our network to download movies, etc. This has become unbearably slow, and can take over two hours to download a single film.
It stands to reason that splitting the channels would half the speed of our internet, is this the case? And if so, is there anything that can be done to speed things up, or should we just be ditching the Echo?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Splitting the channels would not half the speed of your connection!
Have you made sure you have "smart setup" turned off on the Homehub.
See link how to do that.
