Another probem

"I had stable speed until today when I could not connect due to a DNS error I tried ipconfig /flushdns , /renew and /release with no luck, so the first time I restarted the HH it was OK but the second time the profile went back down to 6500kps I will wait and see if it goes back to 9000kps as they say here and see if it resets itself after a few days :smileywink:"

From old post that I had no reply too..... My question is how long will it take to reset back to the correct profile as I have been told by people here that when the line settles down it will go back to the correct profile? now will it or will I have to Email the mods here to do it.

Re: Another probem

Hi mat008,

The profile should restore within 2-3 days max.

The DNS problem was in my area, too.

Re: Another probem

your noise level is very high normally about 6db against your 19db that needs to reduce first that will increase your speed then your profile will rise a noise level will normally will reset in 3db steps at about 10 to 12 day intervals providing no resets take place during that time just a matter of waiting

Re: Another probem

Well another three days have passed and still the profile is the same?

Capture.PNG

I did not restart the HomeHub it was on for the three days or more and the noise was about 10db

Capture 2.PNG

I had the profile download speed of 6.5Meg last night but today well......

Capture 3.PNG

Slightly better on this one but still half speed, up as well now.

So every time there is a problem or one of my kids accidently unplug the HH I will have to wait a week just to get my speeds back (profile) and it does not seem to changed on it's own as someone said I expect the only way to do it is to contact a mod everytime? where as before the upgrade I could just restart the HH untill it corrects itself??
