Any need to purchase a Cat5 cable to move new Infinity install?

Hi all,

I shall be having a new Infinity service installed on the 3rd. My phone socket is on the other side of the room to where I would like the Modem/Homehub to be. Should I purchase a cat5 cable to run along the wall to the new position for the socket to the modem, or will the engineer be able to supply something? I'm going to trunk it along the wall either way.

Thanks in advance!

The engineer should run a wire for you. Just make sure there is no furniture where you want the cable to run so that he can access the skirting board to run the cable along.

Thanks! Presumably if I've run some trunking I can then just wire it through once they've gone? Or do they pin it down etc?

The engineer will pin it to skirting but if you have already run the trunking I would imagine he will put it ito that for you.
