Are there any plans to improve the broadband speeds in GU24 0? I live at the end of Mill Lane, and pay for the fastest broadband that can be provided, but it is only 14mbs down and 0.8 up (on a good day). Working from home is near impossible! If I am working, or my son is on his Xbox, even Amazon Alexa stops working! The bandwidth is so poor that the Ring Doorbell I received for Christmas doesn't work because there isn't enough broadband to support the video upload!! Apparently it is because of there being over 1.7km of copper cable from the BT box to my house. Please, please can something be done to improve this? I looked into using 4g router as an alternative, but there is no 4g signal at the house!

The premise/line is associated with exchange which is NOT part of current fibre priority programme.
The premise/line is associated with exchange where WLR is not withdrawn.
The premise/line is associated with exchange where SOADSL service is restricted.
FTTP is not available.
For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.
Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.
The Stop Sale date for IPstream is from 31 Oct 2012. The Formal Retirement date for IPstream is from 30 Jun 2014.
If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service
In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.
I moved your post to the correct board as you have a fibre connection not old adsl
looks like you have as fast as you can get. as you say you are a long way from your street cabinet
only openreach will know if any plans to make changes
the only way you will improve speed at present is if openreach installed FTTP and again only openreach know whether that is likely https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband

Have you and the other Residents on the Street and or neighbouring Streets considered applying for the Community Fibre Scheme and using the Broadband Vouchers, I think each household can get something like £2k and Businesses a little more.
Theres been a few areas where I live that have done it and all now have FTTP.
