I took a call from an asian gentleman today who claimed to be from "Windows" and that he wanted to help me clean my computer because it was downloading malicious software etc.
I told him to go away (in the politest terms of course).
1471 revealed the caller's number to be:
I Googled that number and got a long list sites which record that this is a fradulent attempt.
In this day and age why are BT not blocking these numbers even if they are hijacking them from India? It's clearly a commin issue.
See Choose to refuse as this will enable you to block up to 10 seperate numbers yourself
Choose to Refuse
Stop unwanted or nuisance calls.
In the long run it is more economical to buy a CPR Call Blocker
You program them to disable VOIP, witheld numbers
and can zap/block as you go along
you need called ID enabled for this to work
better still , phones are not too expensive these days:
buy a BT nuisance call blocker phone like this one
