Automated Internet termination calls

Currently staying at mo Mothers and have just received a bogus automated call, saying her BT Internet would be termintaed today, hit 1 or 2 etc.  Shes hasnt BT for one.

That said, she has Alezheimers so am concerned that when I have left, she receives these type of calls again, gets confused and hits one of the buttons and gets ripped off one way or another.  Appears call cannot be blocked as no number comes up.

Just want to know what an orhanisation like BT are doing to stop their company name being used fraudlantly and vulnerable people being conned.

There is nothing that BT can do to stop scammers using their name, just as there is nothing any other company such as Microsoft or Banks etc can do when their name is used by scammers.

You could however buy her a phone that blocks calls from unknown numbers

BT do sell phones that do that. For example
