Is this normal ?
The availability checker gives an estimate of 63-80 down, and 19-20 up.
When I had infinity2 installed, it connected at 44 / 7.
This has now dropped to 38 / 7
Is it normal for the estimate to be so far away from reality ? When I had an ADSL2 connection, the checker was pretty much bang-on.
Did you run this checker? It will show a Range A and a Range B. this will give a guide as to what range your line is in. The availability checker that BT use tends to only show the Range A speeds.
|FTTC Range A (Clean)||80||63.4||20||19.9||--||Available|
|FTTC Range B (Impacted)||75.1||47.3||20||16||--||Available|
So, I dont even get the low figure for upload speeds, and am 10mb below the low speed for downloads too.

What is it about the numbers ive posted that lead to you that?
If I'm going to argue my case, I need to understand a bit what I am arguing 😃
Or is it simply that the observed speeds are nowhere near those of the checker ?
