Re: Awful Speeds & Service

if you just reported the noise fault then it is likely to be a line engineer

Re: Awful Speeds & Service

Should be a fibre trained engineer that turns up. They arent supposed to work on fibre circuits without the basic training.

Re: Awful Speeds & Service

I've got a feeling it will be a phone line engineer, as I did a 'line test' over the internet that reported no problem as per usual.

Whoever I get I'm hoping it will be someone that will be able to help.

And my latest speedtest result

slightly better results, but still not what I was predicted. If I havent mentioned before, I was predicted 28mbps down, and 6 up.

Re: Awful Speeds & Service

And more issues. Check this out for laughable service for a customer that is paying for up to 40mbps, supposed to be getting 28mbps but actually:

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2185198494.png

ridiculous. I had a friendly engineer on Saturday though (which was nice for a change!), who said he will 'escalate' the problem etc. No escalation and on BT's website, they're saying as far as they're concerned the problem is resolved!! The guy was nice, but unfortunately I still haven't had the problem solved.

BT Phoned me today, and the lady (from India) has said she is sending an engineer out tomorrow. Wonder if he will say the same - "I dont have the equipment".

Genuinely **bleep** off now and I will be complaining through the appropriate channels and to the regulator.

Can anyone direct me to a UK helpline for BT as I'm not convinced they are 100% understanding my problem in India

Re: Awful Speeds & Service

should I still contact them as I have an engineer coming out tomorrow?
As i'm sure with this being BT the systems on this forum are not linked with the engineers in any shape or form.

Re: Awful Speeds & Service

Indeed. I have contacted the link john46 had kindly given (where would I find this otherwise?)
I have explained the problem and that I have got engineers coming out so I don't "double up" hopefully this is ok and i explained it will!
