When i put my number in the BT Broadband check thingy. It estimates my line speed between 8 and 17 meg.
When i join up with BT my max speed has been no more that 3 EVER.
I know it is just an estimate, But should i be getting more from my deal ?
Any help is welcome..

with your attenuation of 55.5 the expected connection speed on a good line is about 3.7/4mb.
what about the quiet line test?
are you connected to the master or test socket? do you have other sockets apart from the master?
you only need your phone number and ignore service id
