Very disappointed - had BT infinity for a while now and iplayer is very stop start.
Spent 30 minutes on hold and got through to technical support finally - no fault. Nothing they can do.
No throttling apparantly.
I explained to them that when I was with O2 (slower speed too!) then Iplayer was great and it is only since the move to bt infinity.
They wouldn't conduct any investigations into this. No way of escalating the problem. He didn't know and that was it !!
Ref no for the call : VOL ************
They gave me a number for BT IT helpdesk who would charge me if they fixed the problem!!
Terrible service.
I can feel a letter to the chief executive brewing....
If you can provide some more inforamation you should be sure to get some help.
A few questions:
1.Have you tested you connection speed?
Try www.speedtester.net first and then http://www.speedtester.bt.com/
They will both show your connection speed, but the BT test wll also show what your profile is set at.
2. Has connection speed got worse recently
3. What service are you paying for - what speed doid BT say you would get?
4. Do you have the new HomeHub 3
5. Are you connecting your PW with a cable or wireless?
iplayer and iplayer hd work perfectly here, including via my freesat hd box. no lag at all unless i start downloading at same time of course
Is this on the same computer... have you tried it on another system by any chance?
Hi, I have Infinity and find no issues with iPlayer at all. Kids are always watching something and have not encountered any problems so far.
I watch iPlayer HD via my Sony Blue Ray player and its great, no stuttering even when I am d/l and watch YT 1080p vids on my PC at the same time.
Yes, tried different computers etc...
Put a complaint in - no-one even bothered getting back to me... typical.
