BBT on new handsets

As its almost the end of January can our new moderators advise if the new software is to be delivered on time this month or are we facing delays?

Re: BBT on new handsets

I'd like to second Palli's request for an ETA on the BTtalk apps for the new Anywhere handsets. I am really enjoying my new Hero and availability of BTtalk would be the icing on the cake, particularly for keeping in touch while abroad. If the official apps are still some way off how about putting btsip.bt.com in the public DNS so we can use third party VOIP apps like Sipdroid on wifi from other than the home hub?

Re: BBT on new handsets

I'll go along with that,if the voip was put out as a cab file.

My phone is the touch 2 by the way,and i'm still playing about with it!

Likewise... although I'd like to see an autologin for Openzone... it's a right pain at the mo'!

Agreed Alun about the Openzone although I think someone else be better off designing the app, not BT.

Re: BBT on new handsets

I dont think the new mods will answer this, they dont seem to be as good as the two Jameses on the old forum. Cant understand why it is so difficult to convert the old apps on the s620 to win 6.5 at least. Not only that, BT own Ribbit and VOIP is available in the States. Looks like they are gearing us up to sell the apps rather than include them in the tariff on the new phones. Or am I just a synic.

Re: BBT on new handsets

if you get all your configuration details it will not be hard to configure to a 3rd party voip.

Re: BBT on new handsets

Thanks Stuart

Sorry for having a go, but its frustrating for those of us who use VOIP on Openzone, Fon etc not to have the function that we use on the old s620's, so we can't upgrade despite being "out of contract".
