BT 8500 No connection to base unit?

Hi,

 

Can anyon ehelp with a no connection to the base unit with a BT 8500 please?

 

I have powere off and on, tried a different handset but no luck.8-((

 

Any suggestions would be great.

try taking out the batteries from the handset

Hi John,

 

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately that did not work, I also tried different handsets as well.8-((

 

Any other ideas please?

Mine does that regularly, as well as displaying power cut. I am pretty sure it could be due to the fact it is near my PC and Router. I just tell it not to reset the clock because it is always correct. Can't remember if it offers to re-connect, if not press the red telephone button

Just take handset next to Base, go to Settings on handset, then scroll through to Register press OK, then follow instructions by pressing the Find button on the Base and hold down till it beeps. This should connect your handset to the Base.  Good luck !
