When using the BT 8500 phones there is noticable crackling and hissing on the phones.
However using a corded phone on the same socket there is no crackle or hiss at all so obviously the line is perfectly clear.
I have moved the base station away from the router and other electronics and I still have this issue..
Any other things I can do to fix this?
Try double filtering the phone, as there may be a bit of broadband signal still passing the first filtert.
Unfortunately it's still crackling and hissing with an extra filter on the phone socket. The crackling is still there with the modem & router turned off.
I've decided to send them back for a refund as they are only 8 months old.
I would agree that it appears faulty.
