I had BT Cloud when it was first introduced. There has since been an update which did not download. I have tried downloading BT Cloud again but get the same error, which is:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "run.py", line 67, in <module>
File "sync\gui.pyc", line 1254, in main
File "sync\app.pyc", line 72, in __init__
File "sync\auth_oneid.pyc", line 32, in __init__
TypeError: int() argument must be a string or a number, not 'NoneType'
Because I can't download BT Cloud there is no automatic backup of my documents and files, so it is useless. Can anybody help?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have also tried the new download - and it's another BT mess up!!!
It has removed the old cloud and has partially completed the install, but says I'm not connected to the internet!! so cannot complete the install.
So, if they didn't spend a fortune on the football, they may afforf to test these updates before they roll them out!!
Michael (Grumpy old man of Benfleet)
they may afforf to test these updates before they roll them out I don't think the BT Cloud team knows the meaning of the word 'test'. Just another four letter word, and something to be avoided.
Thanks for those comforting words, but it doesn't help me access my back up files - I appreciate it is not your fault! or at least I hope it isn't.
Has anyone out there not downloaded the upgrade - if so can they access the btcloud from the windows app?
I haven't downloaded any upgrade and the application (Windows 8.1 desktop) is working for me.
My version is 2.1.2106 69bf74c bt_production
You should also be able to access the backup files from the web version.
Like everything else in the app, the version info is found in a non-standard and non-intuitive way, under 'Hi, xxx' it is then under 'About'
Warning: Don't forget, it isn't really backup, just one-way sync, or multi-way sync for the BT Cloud Sync part.
The plot thickens!
I tried reinstalling the windows app this morning but the same error message.
I then discovered that Chrome was also not connecting to the net - it was still connecting yesterday.
I discovered that my firewall - Norton 360 had blocked chrome.
I unblocked chrome and was able to access the Cloud!
It then uploaded the 4000 photos back to the cloud (or possibly just checked the versions on my PC?)
My version is exactly the same as yours? - has the original version been put up on the website to download, or is yours set to download without you knowing it?
A confused Michael
I've just updated this for the people who hadn't got to the second page of errors.
