BT Decor 2600 Premium corded phone - set up problems?

Hi - just ahd this new for Xmas and trying to set it up and find out how the features work.

I have set up about 50 numbers in my contacts - but although I have my mobile listed it still gets the Announce message when Call Blocker is on - if I switch the Blocker off it just shows as an Incoming Call - but no number or name shown?

Just for info - I've been doing this in bedroom at the end of a long extension lead - we have another plain corded phone in the kitchen where the phone line comes in - and thats where the internet comes in too.

You need to cave caller display enabled on your phone line, for the phone to work properly.

Oh thanks - I thoguth I already had that enabled - have done it now!

I do pay for Voicemail with BT Call Protect - will that be worth keeping?

Also it seems weird that you cannot have Announce and Answerphone working together - it has to be everything to answerphone or nothing?

Probably not worth bothering with voicemail,  and BT Protect is rather limited.

Not sure about the announce and answerphone, as I have the BT 4600 and mainly use the announce option, but of course any number which is already stored in the phone, and the caller gets no reply, goes to answerphone after 10 rings anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - seems the answerphone is working ok with the Announce feature - for people on my Contacts list anyway.

One last question (I hope!) - can I use two of the 2600s on the same line - with one being on Announce and then the other I presume would need to be just as a normal phone?  I'd have the one closed to the phone point with the Contacts list and on Announce - but could I still block people from the extension one?
