BT Dongle Connection - TV

I have recently bought a new TV, and would like to connect this wirelessly to the net.

I was supplied with a Dual Band Wifi 900 Dongle with my Home hub 5, but not sure this all I need to create connection.

When plugged into my computer the dongle registers the same as my router, so i'm assumimg they are linked, and the dongle is working OK.

But when I plug the dongle into my TV, and choose wireless set up, it does not recognise the device.

Be kind with your answers, i'm very new to wireless technology.

Thanks

Re: BT Dongle Connection - TV

Keith

Thanks for advice

I tried as requested, but no luck.

The more I read about the TV I have - Sony KDL 32EX43B.

It appears,  I may have to buy a Sony Dongle - approx £80 - Complete RIP OFF

Unless you or others, have any other solutions.

Thanks

Re: BT Dongle Connection - TV

These would be a much better option.

http://www.shop.bt.com/products/bt-broadband-extender-600-kit-084284-BVFL.html

£27.99

You can then plug one end into the home hub, and the other into the network port of the TV. Its much more reliable than wireless.
