BT Driving people to the edge?

got a surprise visit from a engineer on monday who thought he was coming to fit a new phone line. i explained the problem and he fitted infinity with no issues. started off at 69.9mb down and 20mb up. 

Ive since been getting between 30 - 40 down and 20 up which i led to believe is normal in the first 10 days before it settles

its taken 5 weeks but ive finally got there !

Time to update: I got a call last Friday thanks to the mods on these forums, I explained I'm unable to talk during office hours and could I call them back when I am free? I was told no but they would ring me at 6:30pm that evening. Great I thought and as I waited by my phone.... It never rang....
So thinking nothing new about that I got another call yesterday asking if they could call be in the evening at 6:30pm. I agree.

I got the call as promised!
Very nice lady but she was still bound by a script and did go off to speak to her manager many times while trying to help but ultimately could do nothing for me.

I was made several promises and I'm certain not all can be achieved, as her script changed depending on my questions and contradicted its self many times.
I could be given nothing as a thanks for your patience but I did ask and was told I would receive a written appologie and explanation.

Fortunately I have recorded all conversations between myself and BT for training and research purposes. So the second there is deviation from the plans and promise I will be getting legal advise and speaking to as many public forums faster than BT can say Ofcom.

Thanks forum mods for at least getting me this far.
I can't help but have a sour taste though and begrudgingly become a customer.

Just to clarify, you're still trying to get FTTP Infinity Option 3 Ordered? or Installed?
