We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
I have recently upgraded to BT smart Hub. I can't get my Dual Band extender 600 to connect to the internet. It will not 'pair' with the hub through wps, so I use the web based connection. Move it to a suitable position - green light showing. I can connect to it using my laptop with a strong wifi signal, but there is no connection to the internet!
It is showing up as BT Wifi-X and asks for a username and password when I try my phone.
How did you connect it with the web interface?
Did you use the wizard (select it from the list and then enter password) or enter SSID and password manually?
I'd suggest going to "Advanced" and then manually typing in the SSID and password. Make sure you select WPA2-PSK (AES) for the security type.
Hi there thanks for your help.
I have tried using the 'wizzard' and also the advanced feature.
The two flashing red lights go out, but when I move the extender to a suitable position (its' green lights show) it does not show as one of the available wifi options (not as BTWifiExtendr-HST anyway) So I am unable to connect to it!
