BT FTTP setup for Zenwifi

Go to solution

I've had FTTP installed and all working (ish) - still settling in.  However, once the engineer left I wanted to replace the BT smart hub 2 with a zenwifi at8 - however, I cannot get it to recognise the WAN connection - can anyone give me a heads up on the configuration options that I need?  i.e. username, password, PPPoE etc.  please?

thanks

A

thanks - I tried those, including lowercase 'bt' but still wouldn't recognise the WAN connection.  I looked at the smart hub2 settings and it refers to 'FTTX' connection type (not seen that before) and seems to operate with the bthomehub@btbroadband.com username but no password, but zenwifi won't accept a blank password!

BT don't require a password, anything will do if the router insists, hence usually recommending bt.

thanks for the help  - finally got it working by clearing out the app and using the app to configure and set up the connection - it used the same credentials but must have done something special as it's now working - thanks again!
