That’s good news! Out of curiosity, what device are you testing with where you’ve observed the Max download speeds? My (enterprise grade) Dell laptop maxes out at 500ish , while my nearly four year old Xbox One X manages to hit close to 850.
Got my score with the smart hub 2 personally not having issues with it
mine is now running smoothly.
1 week since go live.
Solid 920 dl / 115 up
Also 8ms for latency which is extremely impressive.
Happy now after initial issues.
@vram81 Hi mate, I've been using my desktop PC, the Mrs' laptop, my Xbox One X and an Android box, all wired, and it's consistently around the 930mbps mark. Lovely stuff. 😀
I do wonder about the accuracy of these tests! Upload speeds of greater than 120Mbps are not possible. There is a hard limit set but speed tests can get it wrong due to their estimation algorithms.
Fast.com suggests 1.1 Gbps download. Not possible especially as there is only a 1 Gig link between router and ONT to start with!
I wanted to see what the IP profiles set are but the BT Wholesale speedtest site, after entering address just says
The system is currently busy. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.
Here are my profiles for the 900Mbs service. Ignore the basic stats as I was connected via wifi but via an ethernet connection to a Complete Wifi disc. As you say some questionable results but certainly indicative, particularly where there's consistency. The max upload speed shown in my results does suggest that faster speeds than the advertised package speeds are possible.
@AandB Very interesting. No matter how many times I try, the wholesale advanced diagnostics won't run. So the upload is not capped correctly to 110 in your case! Whereas I can never get above 111 implying mine is. I wonder if there is a separate cap on the SH2. Are you using a different router?
