You can connect your PC/laptop directly to the ONT with your ethernet cable and dial a PPPoE connection - this will then show whether the SH2 is to blame - if you still have slow speeds then the problem will be in the network somewhere.
I connected my PC straight into the ONT and set up the PPPoE, but fast.com is still giving the same reading of 420-430 mbps, so i'm guessing it's not the SH2?
No not the SH2 - it will be something throttling the connection in the BT network - perhaps you could be moved to a different VLAN in the exchange.
After messaging the ever helpful @NeilO I was phoned this afternoon by the community support team to say that the issue had been sorted. Speed tested when I got home and happy to report that I'm now getting the full 910/110Mb.

Hi there sorry to jump on the thread
we are having this exact problem with our fibre 100 package. I know this isn’t for that one, but we have the exact same issue, with no one at BT listening to what we are saying.
we are on 150/30 and we have that for 24 hours after the box resets then the upload drops right back down to 10mb which is the same upload we had on our last package.
we have tested our wired PC direct to the ONT and when we use that we get our connection speeds but as soon as the SH2 gets connected it’s like it’s capped straight down to 10mb Upload.
we can not get anyone to listen to us and have had this package 14 days and called everyday!
I am writing here as I would like a moderator to contact me if possible as you seem to be aware of the issue.... I have also had and engineer visit and 3 x NEW SH2’s And a change of ONT and nothing is doing it. I 100% have the speed to the ONT and just feel like no one at BT is listening. Any advise or contact would be great. Thanks
