I'll give that a go , thank you very much. 🙂
Hi @NeilO are you able to push the update to my SH too please? Had Fibre 900 installed and have had mixed results -between 50 - 450 Mbps Down and 61 - 100 Up. Many thanks, James
If you are getting up to 100Mb up, then there is no restriction being applied to your home hub, the speed issue must be within your own local network, especially as the download speed is varying.
Make sure you run any speed tests with a direct Ethernet connection to the home hub, to a fast PC with a 1Gb Ethernet card and connected using a fully wired Ethernet patch cable.
Tests via wireless are meaningless, as wireless is subject to interference.
What’s the current FW version?
FW : v0.30.01.08093-BT
It's sorted now - one of the MODS pushed the updated parameters to my smart hub and it’s rocking a whacking 920 down and 118 up today 😎
Leave the smart hub connected for a few days, and the parameter change will be sent to it, and that will lift the restriction. You must leave it connected all the time, or you may miss the update.
You can force the hub to unlock the upload speed, follow these steps:
1. Factory reset your hub at the back using pin or similar object.
2. Enter the hub manager and factory reset hub as many times as it takes to unlock the upload speed. This took me upwards of 9 attempts on one of my hubs before the upload unlocked.
Once the upload is up to normal, it should stay there.
