Ok thank you .... how long does it take to update automatically then?
It’s ok it’s now updated to firmware 17... and I am happy getting correct speeds... nothing capped!
Any one else notice there SH2 clicks.... this new one clicks every minute I have timed it... more than the last one... its getting annoying... is this normal or is it trying to connect to something... is there any way of disabling something that may be causing it?
@neil8471 It's normal for it to click, the following is from moderator Matt-S
'I have some good news for you all, it's completely normal for the Smart Hub 2 to make the odd clicking noise.
When a customers connection drops the hub goes through a reconnection process which includes the DSL port switching between ADSL, VDSL and G.FAST until it finds the type of connection on the line. As the port is switching between the different types of connection you will hear a clicking noise. '
I’m not convinced it should click every minute... anyone else’s clicks?? My last one used to but not as much as this one... will see if it settles down. If its pure fibre though would it have to do what that post suggests... ie try to connect to different things??
Only when reconnecting as per the description above. It shouldn't be happening all the time.
There’s a thread specifically about clicking hubs here:

Might help.
Hi everyone thanks for your replies... ok I turned the hub off left it 5 minutes... then switched back on.... hey presto it’s stopped clicking... hope this has sorted it!
@danio1972 Did you get your problem fixed? I’m still stuck around Fibre250 speeds and according to the FTTP team it’s been passed to the networking team, it’s stuck there and they’ve no idea what’s going on with that team or when I’ll hear back. They’ve done all the checks they can, which takes all of a minute. I’ve tried hard resets of the SH2, cycling power on the ONT, disconnecting the cables between the two. A direct connection with a laptop and running the BT Wholesale suggests higher upload speeds are possible but the download speeds took a significant hit (not sure how reliable the test is). The latest today from the FTTP team is they understand the service being paid for isn’t being received so leave it for 10 days and see what happens.
What the hell is going on with it tonight?? I’m getting 10Mbps down & 11Mbps. Should never have changed to the 900 package. Too late now as over the 14 days cooling off period but I’ve been lucky if I’ve managed to get half the speed I’m paying for
