BT Fibre broadband being installed at new build houses 50 meters away. How can I get fiber too.

I live somewhere where we can't get BT fibre broadband. BT broadband speeds are rubbish at my house due to old overhead wires and have had to use a 4G router instead. There are 62 houses being built in a field near us. The builder has informed us that approx 50 meters away from our house down a lane is the BT cabinet that will feed the new builds. I have registered interest online for fibre broadband but when BT supply the new builds there are no plans to extend to 3 houses in a country lane near this, because the BT supplier only deals with new builds. My concern is that BT will install to the new builds but not bother extending down the road to the other houses. Who can I speak to in BT to coordinate getting broadband the same time as the new build? Hoe you can help.

@bcopp

Its Openreach not BT Retail who install the network, you would have to contact them.

The chances are that the new builds will be fibre only, so a cabinet would not be used.

As mentioned, Openreach installs the network. You can speak to them on Twitter: https://twitter.com/OpenreachHelp

Although changing cabinets is not something they do, usually.
