BT Fon

My BB went down and after a few long phone calls and doing all the tests for the past 2 weeks its a new router I need, Ive been with BT for donkey years and so peed off about lost connections,so tried this FON thing, its great. and because of lost internet and bt vision cutting out,  I had to canel BT vision at end of contract and was talking to Virgin and sky.

With this new hub coming if my bb stablises I will keep bt becuase, I liked Vision and I think this Fon thing is great.

I need to find out where I can get Cisco VPN software that BT supplies free but the link just taks me back to the Fon homepage.

(as I was writing this Virgin called from Manchester but I did not answer as I was doing this)

BT get my BB steady its only 7MB but that will do me, but I cant have it dropping to 5mb then 3mb when Vision takes 2MB.

I will most likely never need to use Fon again but my grandaughter love all this texting stuff and she would use it, but it is a very very handy thing when your internet goes down, Virgin says you will never be without BB when your with us, well with Fon Im never without BB with BT so I dont get her point.

So Im going to phone the retention team.

Re: BT Fon

You can get the VPN software once you login to FON, if you have any problems then let me know.

Re: BT Fon

When I installed the free version, there was some difficulty with the download link

Depending on your OS, try:

Windows XP,Vista,7 (32bit) - https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/windows/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Client_V1_32bit.exe

Windows XP,Vista,7 (64bit) - https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/windows/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Client_V1_64bit.exe

MAC - https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/apple/mac/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Client_V1.dmg

Apple iOS systems (iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad) iOS3 or higher - https://my.btopenzone.com/vpn/apple/iOS/BT_Wi-Fi_VPN_Profile.mobileconfig

Re: BT Fon

Thanks for the replies, DS your 32 link just brings me back to this thread, it could be becausing Im using fon, I will try it tomorrow when my new router arrives.

The reason i wanted it so I could use my betfair account and bank account safe, I dont know how safe it would be without it.
