BT Fon

I opted out of BT Fon and I think its been the required 48hrs but it's still showing active. I thought I'd dp it before I swapped out the Homehub 3 for my new router. Is this necessay or will BT Fon automatically not work with a non BT router?

Re: BT Fon

BTFON/BTWIFI will not work on a non bt router - as long as you remain opted in to BTFON/WIFI then you can still access when you are out and about - that is ok

Re: BT Fon

Hi rattyjunk,

The BTWifi SSIDs (BTFon/BTOpenzone) shouldn't be broadcasted from a third party router, as the BT HomeHubs are made to accept a config file which is updated by TR-069 remote management as well as designed to transmitt the BTWifi (Fon/Openzone) public SSIDs.

Cheers
