BT Home Hub 3 vs 4 or other alternatives

Hey there,

 

My BT Home Hub 3 drops it's connection incredibly frequently. The Home Hub 4 is remarkably cheaper than alternatives (£35 + postage, which is something that's important) but I'm concerned about whether there may be similar problems? Looking through the forums there are a few posts but they just seem to be moaning rather than being constructive helpful posts.

 

Is the HH4 a viable alternative (i.e. provides good speed and doesn't drop out (preferably at all but less often is good!)) or should I be looking at alternate routers and what is the best value for money?

 

Any advice is appreciated!

Short answer, in my opinion, I don't have the HH4 but having read the posts on here, apart from having the 5GHz frequencies the HH4 is no better than the HH3 and some say its wireless is worse. If you can afford it go for another router.There area few posts giving advice on which one to go for if you do a search.
