Re: BT Home Hub 5 (Type A) | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.264

My down speeds have dropped by 5M on the download down to 44M. Mind you the  NoiseMargin has slipped up to 9dB since the update, prior to that it was 7dB and speeds were about 49M. The NM flutter though looks a lot better now according to my router stats monitor.

Still getting the TR069 daily @  ~20:00 but they seem to be a shorter than that long one on the 5th. Since hte 5th the tro's do not seem to change the NM from 9dB.

At 9dB things seem to be more stable line wise but I guess the trade off is slightly slower speed. I'd rather it be stable than worry about 5M difference. A year ago I was getting 51M but it was up and down like a yoyo some days. Was quite annoying when it decided to TRO in the day time now it seems to be at about 8pm most days and does not stumble like it used to.

4.7.5.1.83.8.264 Software Update Broken 5GHz SSID

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum so posting my first question. As of 1st March 2019 , my HH5 was updated with software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.264, and now none of my devices will connect to 5GHz SSID. 2.4GHz works perfectly. These decives comprise iPhone, iPad, and a high sepc almost new Dell Laptop. Every time I try to connect, I get the message 'incorrect password ' To help with any replies: My HH5 has been working perfectly for the last two years with the following set up: 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands seperated (unsynced), 2.4GHz defaulted to CH1, 5GHz defaulted to CH36. My next door neighbour is on CH13 and CH44 respectively. I have hard reset the router twice (button on back pressed for 20 sec etc) so I really dont know what to do. Does anyone from BT read these posts? I will not call Customer Support becasue all they will do is tell me to reset etc. I am loath to buy a third party router at this stage as I feel this is a result of something that BT has done with this latest software update. Any help will be appreciated before I go to PC World!!

4.7.5.1.83.8.264 Software Update info

Just a bit of info and what worked for me, after the update to the HH5 I have had really slow wifi across all devices, ipads, android, macs etc, wired connection to the bt uhd box was fine 50mb+ as usual but wifi to everything else was 10 -15mb max, I did a complete factory reset of the HH5 and then turned off smart set up and split 2.4 and 5ghz as per instructions and everything is back to normal 50mb + on wifi on all devices.

@Niels_T
I do think they are looking into it. I've had phonecalls from BT to get information over the issue. May take some time though..
