BT Home Hub 5 inbstallation

Has anyone come across connection issues when installing a new BT Home Hub 5? When I change over from the HH3 to HH% I cannot get an internet connection and when checking the netwrok sharing / settings, am advise that there is an unidentified network (against the ethernet adapter, although I have the latest drivers loaded). When I put the HH£ back on, no issues.

Any help / advice / guidance would be appreciated, as having spent over 2 hours on the phone to BT I am no further forward on something which I would assume would be a simple changeover of hardware... silly me.

Re: BT Home Hub 5 inbstallation

Presumably you are taking the Openreach modem out of the equation and setting it up as per this guide.

Can you access the homehub management pages

Re: BT Home Hub 5 inbstallation

I had a similar problem - I rectified it by disabling and then renabling the adaptor in the network sharing / settings.

My problem is the lack of throughput from the HH5 - I was connected via the wired ports but have gone back to my original HH3 and openreach modem setup as using the HH5 is not at all family friendly.
