BT Home Hub 5 on TalkTalk

Go to solution

Before I was a BT Infinity customer with a BT Home Hub 3 and as soon as the BT Home Hub 5 was made available I bought it and yes it was better than the BT Home Hub 3 (returned to BT as per request received from BT), however with my disappointment I noticed that the surely not cheap BT Home Hub 5 is not working with the TalkTalk fibre service and I suspect it is locked to BT service. Please advise how it can be used with TalkTalk

The Hub3 was locked to BT as well.  If you paid for the Hub5, you didn't actually have to return the Hub3 if you didn't ewant to.

Just received an email about the Home Hub 4r. Seems this one is not locked to BT!

What aspect of the Home Hub 5 is locked to BT?  I am using one with PlusNet just fine.

That's slightly different. It works on BT residential, BT business and plus net as it's a subsidiary of BT group.
