BT Home Hub 6 & G.INP On ECI Cabinets

Hi guys just wondering if the home Hub 6 is compatible with G.INP on ECI cabinets as apparently openreach are rolling it out with the lower xdb profile in the next few weeks according to isp preview website,last time it was introduced in 2016 I was using a home Hub 5B and it worked hopefully the 6 will be the same, really good news for all us folk on ECI cabinets that have been left behind by those on Huawei cabinets!

Yes, the HH6 is compatable. It was the ECI cabs that the problem.

Thanks @pippincp good to know I take it there’s no way of it showing in the helpdesk stats page, just obviously a resnyc and better obtainable speeds 😃

You don't expect BT to make it that easy? Youll know when it happens usually after 10 - 14 days.

Ok thanks strange thing is had a resnyc this morning about 5am and interleaving was removed from my line speeds improved slightly and ping gone down from 26 to 16?

Not sure, I’ve got an unlocked openreach hg612 3b I’ll hook it up on Tuesday and see if it reports if it’s active will let you know, thanks for your help @pippincp

And are the HH5A/Bs G.INP compatible too? Upstream and Downstream?

G.Inp upstream isn't active on any Openreach cabinet. The hubs are compatible if ever done though.

Upstream G.INP can be switched on by DLM on individual Huawei lines but is rarely done so and even then, it's normally temporary.

ECI cabinets don't support upstream G.INP unless something has changed
