BT Home Hub 6 keeps dropping wifi and resetting to factory default.

Hopefully this is the correct place to post.

Devices in  the house have started not connecting to my BTHH6 wifi?    This is not a range issue as device in the same room will full strength occasionally have issues. Ethernet connections are rock solid.

I've changed channels and done a factory reset but the problem persists intermittently.

Of interest now when i turn the HH off it does a full reset (passwords and HH name going back to defaults)without me pressing the reset button(.   Its also very hot to the touch.

Grateful for any suggestion as I am struggling to find a way to interact with BT direct?

Peter

Re: BT Home Hub 6 keeps dropping wifi and resetting to factory default.

have you split the wireless networks which is possible on HH6 but not SH2

it is not difficult to interact with BT just phone 150

Thank you for the very quick response. When you say split are you meaning between 2.4 and 5. Is that better? HH has worked faultlessly for past 6 months but now having these issues. Peter

@Kiteland

If it keeps resetting to factory default, then its faulty and needs replacing.
