I live in a flat which I have kitted out with Solwise AV200 Homeplugs which seem to work fine with my BT HomeHub 3 setup. Recently my neighbour on the same floor as me (but with a different electric meter) has installed a similar system.
can now 'see' and access the login screen to his TalkTalk router via my Widows 8.1 'view network'. I have now changed the private network name on all my Solwise adapters and can no longer 'see' the TalkTalk router. I therefore suspect that he has the same Solwise Homeplugs.
My question is, if I am correct in my assumptions above, if I change to new BT Broadband extenders will the same problem occur as I can see no way to change the private network name on the BT kit.
