recently purchased a BT hub 4 which connect to the internet wireless with no issues. Unfortunatley it will not connect to my printer. Had a BT hub 2 before with no issues. The printer is HP Photosmart c4585. Any advice how this hub will detect my printer. with thanks in advance
It is not the hub that needs to detect your printer, it is your printer that needs to detect the hub. You need to go into the printers settings and scan for the Homehub SSId then log onto it with the passkey found on the homehub label.
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried to go to the printer settings and ask for the printer to find the hub but cannot do it. I have a Imac and laptop. having issues with both of these. Where in settings do you tell it to look for the hub? keeps saying computer cant find printer not other way round!! Know the SSID and wireless key but can't find where to put them in printer settings!!!
If the printer has previously been installed on your computers it may be best to uninstall it and start from scratch.
Have a read through the printer set up settings and work your way through it.
