If it's at activation it should be very soon. Do you know where the cabinet is located? If so, go check it out every couple of days. When they fit a silver lock, it means all testing is done and it will be accepting orders within a few days.

LOL and now it's Accepting Orders, litterally a day later. What the hell?

I'm happy it's apparently now available but, eh. It goes from Connecting to Activation to Accepting Orders litterally within the space of a couple of days.

Thinking of it I saw a couple of OpenReach engineers on my street the other day too (but never any other time). I wonder if it has been sat there on the cusp of completion for ages.

Ah well least it's finally done now.

Yeah the cabinet is litterally just a few doors up from me. I'll have a look for the silver lock the next time I walk passed, cheers!

Once the cables are all connected it's just a case of doing some testing to make sure everything works as it should. Unless there's a problem it only takes a day as far as I know.

I am also in Swinton and have had the same issues since 2013 and yesterday my cabinet was pushed back to dec17 having previously been march it's taking the **bleep** now.And what makes it worse is I can't even get virgin either.

The issue is an Openreach one, not BT.
