Hi @SCS_Computer_Enginee and welcome to the community.
Thanks for posting about the BT Inspiration phone. Can you just confirm if this is about a business line or residential line?
Cheers
David
Thanks for getting back so quickly @SCS_Computer_Enginee .
If the cordless base station has the same RJ11 plug then the easiest way to find out if it will work would be to connect it. I don't see why it wouldn't work so give it a go and let me know how you get on.
Cheers
David
It's been a while since I was able to use one of these 'phones. Now happily retired, you see.
It was my understanding that the BT Inspiration System functioned using its own special phones BUT, at the same time, ordinary 'phones could be used.
I believe the question is whether the phone you are bringing home is a specific Inspiration System model or an ordinary phone. Whether the Inspiration models work on residential systems or not, I cannot say.
Good luck.
Thanks for stepping in @Devon_Dave .
@SCS_Computer_Enginee there's a few opinions on whether this will work or not. We'd really love to hear what the outcome is so as soon as you've tried please post back and let us know.
Cheers
David
Finally got round to check, should have done it sooner considering I have an Inpiration installed at home!!.
I can confirm as I thought If you plug a sytem phone into your PSTN line socket it will not work at all, No dialtone given.
