Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

Oh right. I would have thought a banded profile was applied at the cabinet or exchange

Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

It is applied on by software that manages the DSLAM at the cabinet however, an engineer cannot request a reset without first finding a fault.

Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

Thanks for the reply.

I guess the fault is the speed drop which you indicated could be due to the hub being restarted alot.

Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

After 2-3 days of leaving the hub alone it must have restarted arounbd 8.40am this morning as it is showing as 6 hours 20 uptime.

The speed has now gone up to 40mb. Do you think it will continue to increase and I should cancel the engineer visit for Monday?

Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

Can you post the line stats again now the speed has increased please. If it has gone up to 40Mb it looks as though DLM might be relenting.

Re: BT Infinity 1 speed constantly dropping

Hmm, looks like the banding has been removed, but something is still not right. Your snrm is only 5.5 yet your attainable rate is much higher than your actual rate, maybe it is because G.Inp hasn't kicked in again yet. I would give it a week and see what happens.
