Hi
I've been on Infinity 1 for a couple of years initial speed of 52 meg, over a year settled as currently around 44 meg connection.
Doing the BT speed test shows my line profile set at 45 meg.
My BT hub downstream sync speed is at 49 d/ 10 up and has never fluctuated ever with occassional hub restarts.
Upgraded today and absolutely no change, all figures above remain static.
Contacted BT India call centre who eventually put me through to faults.I understand the taking " up to 10 days" for line to stabilise but when I last had an engineer visit at the green box, my line profile jumped from 40me to 62 meg ( when previously an infinity 2 customer.
I've been advised to wait to see what happens, but with absolutely no change in line profile or hub down sync I'm not overly optimistic,
Can any mods help please

It will not be any faster if your line cannot support it. If you are only getting 44Mbs, then that is the limit that your line will support, Infinity 2 will make no difference to that, as its only a software change.
In order to find out what services and speed range you should be getting, please enter your phone number into this form.
Broadband availability checker
Please remember to edit out your phone number before you post the results.
The only difference between Infinity 1 and Infinity 2 is a software cap on infinity 1 to stop your line getting above 52Mbps if it was capable of doing that.
You are unlikely to see any change from Infinity 1 to Infinity 2 if you were only able to get 45Mbps on Infinity 1.
The maximum speed for Infinity one is 52Mbps and you are apparently not able to even get that so you would be unable to get any faster on Infinity 2.
To see what is estimated for your line can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.

and use this speed tester then scroll down the page and carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection.

If you have a Homehub 5 can you post the stats from 1-12 by logging onto the Homehub management pages then troubleshooting > helpdesk. http://bthomehub.home/
or
If you have the Smart Hub, (Homehub 6) can you go to hub manager then advanced then technical log and post the stats. http://bthomehub.home/
Hi
My line when I previously had infinity 2t did have a 70 meg profile, so expected some kind of increase today, as stated no change to line profile or hub downstream as yet.
When i last had my speed increased i got a text from engineer and email to confirm upgrade, nothing to day
thanks for info
regards
Brian
Hi
Previously had a 70 meg profile when previoulsy on infinity 2, and before taking contract BT line checks said i should get 60 to 70 meg.
If no speed increases after 10 days guess I'll just have to back to infinity 1, bit disappoingting when I had speeds in the 70's before
thanks for info
regards
Brian
The 10 days is a myth. You should have noticed any change instantly.
Can you post the stats that have been requested in order to establish if there is a possibility of your line supporting better speeds.
